When Elena Brower shared her thoughts about creating prosperity, I watched it a few times and took copious notes. I also reflected on my own relationship with money. Abundance is something I’ve written about before here (Creating Mindful Abundance), but I thought I would take it one step farther and delve into how to create a portal for abundance.
Sometimes we need to breathe new life (both literally and figuratively) into our financial portal so I created these three steps, using the acronym C.P.R. for easy reference.
C stands for “Claim” your weakness. Too often we avoid our debt by refusing to open the mail or having a conversation either with ourselves or our business partners about our current financial status. While this is deeply stressful, continuing to engage in unproductive financial patterns will only permit the malignancy to grow. We can’t change something unless we confront it. Remember, debt is a burden we created because of fear. Ask yourself: How many purchases did you make because of fear?
P stands for “Pause.” When it comes to money, many of us are on emotional quicksand. And when we engage in transactions the result isn’t always joy. Elena spoke about the importance of engaging in self- awareness and reflection. Some of us use the meditation as the mode to pause and reflect. For others it is writing or speaking with a therapist or confidant. Whatever our mode for pushing the pause button, practice it fearlessly. This is how our portal for abundance remains open and healthy. I strongly believe that health equals wealth.
R stands for “Receive.” A healthy relationship with money creates a strong attraction for receiving gifts both tangible and intangible. These gifts which we give and receive includes gorgeous relationships as well as thoughtful items. The flow of giving and receiving is enriched by our mindfulness.
There is no need to remain captive to our past debt. In viewing our lives through the lens of mindful abundance and pure intent, our light illuminates all. We naturally draw in healthy and productive people and opportunities.
