I want to know about the wild ways,
the ancient and archaic wise ways.
I yearn to grow older,
not in cellular decay,
but in intellect and intuition,
in my affinity with the hum of the infinite.
I want to slacken my domestication,
to know the primitive self.
Unchained, unbound, undefined
I want to taste magic and dance, bravehearted,
into the smoke and mire of mystery.
With the guileless eyes of the child
and the sagacious intelligence of the crone
I want to stretch beyond timelines,
unknitting to hone new studentship.
I want to meet the medicine woman,
the priestess, the healer, the archetypal goddess
who remembers the language of the earth
who speaks softly of light and shadow
who treads in grace and reverance,
keen senses equally attuned within & beyond.
I wish to feed that veracious, essential desire,
seeded in the heart, germinating the Seeker.
The relentless hunter of Truth
– over months, years and lifetimes.
I want to know things about the wild ways,
to memorialize the forgotten,
the buried Selves, here summoned, to be renewed.
She, in all her forms. I am calling Her home.
