From the Teach.Yoga Spring 2016 Session: On Abundance
Enjoy edifying, informative and uplifting interviews with three dear colleagues known for the ways in which they’re exploring alternate revenue streams in order to support their passion for teaching.
Dad, yoga student, yoga teacher, dear friend for almost 2 decades, Eric Stoneberg managed to emerge from one of the hardest personal times in his life to discover a new life as an Ambassador with Plexus. We talked about the value of network marketing for yoga teachers, how it helps us stop trading our time for dollars, to create our own schedule, and be home for our families. We started practicing and teaching yoga to be in community, create connection, and uplift people – and this business does all of that and so much more.
He pointed out that this type of business is not actually about sales – it’s about relationships, leadership and personal development.
He also very articulately talked about the opportunity to earn as we learn. As we become skilled at sharing and teaching about the products with which we’re working, we learn how to become more comfortable in every realm of our lives – relating to our families, our colleagues, our dear friends. We both agree that having this type of business has elevated our teaching and given us space to be more ourselves.
Ultimately, Eric feels that his business is most definitely a spiritual practice. From manifesting abundance to building a team (Eric aptly points out that our team is simply a reflection of ourselves), to being an effective leader and teaching others to lead, this work has enhanced our lives immeasurably. We are both deeply inspired and moved by the privilege of sharing this with you.
Our closing: “When you are blessed, be a blessing.”
