Working out can sometimes get a bad rap. Muscle bound, sculpted bodies adorning a health club can be a bit intimidating. In their body hugging outfits with ripped physique. I was one of these folks. Not to say there is anything wrong with that. As long as you are at peace. But I wasn’t.
For as long as I can remember, each time I would enter the gym setting I would cringe. These words reverberating within, “Here we go again.” Especially as it related to my own fitness regimen. I was a trainer for heavens sake but the energy and intensity that surrounded me was overwhelming. Back in the day, I worked others so hard no matter what. Now the body speaks to me, in each moment. Ever since I found my heart in yoga class years ago, something was awakened within. I began to see through new eyes. This had the domino effect of fine tuning how I approached working with others, which lovingly included myself. To what was needed, maybe not what was wanted. As we continue to go through life’s shifts and changes there is a time to push and a time to pull back Really listening to what is going on in and around us each and every day.
I myself was inflexible, both literally and metaphorically. Having trained so intensely for over a decade with complete rigidity. Oh, and I never stretched. Then there was the softer, more intuitive side. With an acute curiosity of how our energetic body influences our health and well being. On how our emotions have a profound effect on how we live, move and breathe. So it was from this deep place of intention that Movement With Soul was birthed. A unique philosophy which combines the four elements of integration, inspiration, illumination and intuition. That embodies and embraces the totality of the individual; in mind, body and spirit. A distinctly innovative approach to exercise/movement.
It has been a privilege to share this work through my own personal evolution/journey. My wish is to empower as many as possible through my passion for healing and wholeness.
