I turned to yoga during a rough patch in my life. In a quiet, peaceful studio, I was able to relax and discover a calmness I didn’t know possible. In 2014, I became a registered yoga teacher. This was the first step on a path toward wholesome, natural living that I had always wanted to pursue. Before, I believed it was too weird or uncool. But through my journey inward, I learned to love myself and embrace all my non-traditional aspects – because they are what make me the unique human being I am meant to be! Now, I have no shame in using coconut oil for deodorant, being vegetarian, brewing my own kombucha, or waxing philosophical about yoga at dinner parties.
