Emily Fleming, M.A.T., RYT-200, is a yoga teacher and educator in Baltimore, Maryland. Emily joined Teach for America as a corps member after graduating from Colby College in 2012, and received her Master of Arts in Teaching from National Louis University in 2014. Emily currently teaches yoga and mindfulness full time at a middle school in Baltimore, weaving lessons on character development into the practices. Emily completed her 200-hour hatha yoga training through Earth Heart Yoga in 2011, and Elena Brower’s “Art of Attention” teacher training in 2014. Emily began to practice yoga at 16. She’s practiced around the world, from an army tent in a stranger’s backyard in Hawaii, to Helsinki, Finland, to the slums of Kenya. She’s traveled to Kenya twice to work with Africa Yoga Project and served on AYP's Leadership Board in 2014.
