Like water rolling over stone, breath by breath, movement by movement, this practice erodes the hardened parts of us and carries them away. This is the process unfolding at every moment. With that first willing step into the flow of experience, the stream begins its work on and through each of us.
At the heart of the matter, you’ve always been in the midst of the stream ebbing and flowing around you, working its magic on you. In choosing to elevate your quality of presence by teaching, you submit yourself to the fullness of the coursing river, allowing it to wash over you and realign you entirely. At other times, a nearly imperceptible trickle ceaselessly continues moving, enabling evolution as the subtlest undercurrent; building while simultaneously eroding.
Each act of presence is a practice of choosing to be attentive to the full scope of experience – the soft whispers of gentle rivulets and the powerful cascade of rapids. It is the deliberate choice to be immersed in that refinement by way of movement expressing through you or the breath breathing you. As each fraction of a moment slowly washes away your attachment to all that is not you, you become integrated with the stream itself, remembering yourself as an inextricable part of the whole. You are the rock in process of unbecoming, you are the stream in process of pulling renewal from stone, and you are the merging of the two, in flow at the centre of it all.
