When you think of loss, you may recall moments in your life when someone passed away, or a heartache from a romantic break up. But facing loss can mean a number of different things that we may encounter on our paths throughout our life’s journey.
I have had a very difficult year with respect to my career. I have had to make some difficult decisions that would have made a tremendous impact on my family. Through these decisions, it was up to me to remain in a place of pure heart and spiritual conciousness to make a clear decision. This has caused me to face a career transition (forced to leave my job), and it’s sad and terrifying to me all at the same time.
I am experiencing loss.
I am realizing that through this loss, through this time of transition and unknown, perhaps this is the universe’s brilliant way of speaking to me and giving me the opportunity to find my greater purpose. I am taking this time to pause and to look inward – to do the work inside of myself to better understand and identify self-limiting patterns that may not serve me anymore. I am realizing through this self exploratory time that I am not a victim or a failure, and I choose my own destiny. I choose to move forward.
This time of transition is a gift, and I will make every effort to keep my heart open. After all, even a broken heart is an open heart if we choose to be ready and willing and open to the sweet whispers of the universe.
