My first teacher training was in a hot sequence with Anusara influences. The series provided a space for me to release much of the trauma and emotions held within my body but the rigid structure of the series created radical boundaries and bizarre boundaries off of my mat. Layering a restorative yoga practice into my routine cultivated the space to truly sit with myself and begin to heal.
I began to explore other styles on my mat and discovered a style I truly fell in love with. This practice created an amazing shift within my life and helped me to discover my authentic self. She helps me to evolve as my life changes, yet remain centered within the flow of life….that is the true grace of a flow & restore practice.
Flow & Restore cultivates a safe space of acceptance and love for everyone. The mindfulness in which we move in a slow flow vinyasa yoga cultivates habits on our mat, which can easily translate into changed behaviors off the mat. When we begin to move in alignment and integrity through our practice, we begin to rewire the brain into a new pattern. This pattern becomes more accessible off the mat, the more we practice. Embracing an intentional practice creates the space for connection to ourselves physically, emotionally and mentally. It is through these connections that we begin to see where our shadow sides may show through and where there is a need for healing. Flow & Restore is a practice where we truly meet ourselves as we are and find the pathways to the doors of possibility and healing.
