Ann Swanson
Ann Swanson is a Yoga Therapist and a Wellness Educator. Her journey started after art school with a trip around the world–studying yoga in India and tai chi in China. After her return to the U.S. she devoted years to studying the science of the human body. She then combined her passions by being a part of the first Masters of Science in Yoga Therapy. Ann makes the mind/body practices of therapeutic yoga, meditation, and tai chi accessible for those who need personal attention, including training the teachers who serve them. She specializes in integrating scientific research in her teaching and developing innovative pose adaptations, especially for joint limitations and chronic pain, like arthritis. Through her workshops, teacher training, and mentorship, Ann empowers other yoga teachers and wellness professionals to break past their own perceived barriers as they help their students do the same
